Chris Handley’s 1967 14 foot Slickcraft. SS140 outboard
Ready for a Sporty Spin on the Water?
If you spot a classic boat that catches your eye, don’t be shy—go introduce yourself to the owner. Show genuine interest, and you just might get invited aboard for a thrilling ride on the Delaware River. There’s nothing quite like experiencing classic performance up close.
This sharp 1967 Slickcraft is a prime example. It’s powered by an 80 HP Mercury outboard and ready to move. Slickcraft was founded in 1955 by Leon Slickers, who built boats downstairs while living with his family upstairs. By 1960, the company was producing fiberglass hulls, and its reputation took off. AMF acquired the brand, but Slickers stayed on until 1973, when he walked away due to concerns about declining build quality.
This vintage speedster blends classic style with a sporty ride that still turns heads today.
