A Cruise Report By Austin Berndlmaier Mid-Atlantic Chapter Secretary

Well it’s been another great day on Lake Hopatcong for the Mid-Atlantic chapter. Clear skies were uninterrupted by clouds. Some members launched out of the Lee County Park Marina where they were able to rendezvous with boats out of the Lake Hopatcong chapter of the ACBS. Bright sun illuminated the water on the twenty-five hundred acre, largest-in-New Jersey lake. At least one of our cruisers grew up on Lake Hopatcong, so a nice trip down memory lane was in the works during the late morning. By the afternoon, the entourage led by Carmen in his Launch had made an excellent touring of the beautiful shoreline, which spans over thirty-eight miles at that! Making good time, the group was able to stop at Stonewater for another delicious lunch with an even better view. Finally, after saying their goodbyes, the Mid-Atlantic chapter returned back south to the ramp for an easy retrieval and another wonderful day on the water under our belts.
