Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the ACBS

Organization Grant Request Guidelines & Information

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the ACBS offers financial assistance to organizations for charitable activities  and projects that are in line with the declared purposes of the ACBS, Inc. Requests will be evaluated based on how they meet the goals of the Mid-Atlantic chapter. Preference will be given to organizations and activities serving the geographic area covered by this chapter.

Grant requests received by October 1st will be evaluated by the Board of Directors before the annual general membership meeting in November (second Tuesday of the month). Approved grants will be remitted by December 31st of the same year.

Adherence to the application requirements, shown below, will ensure a timely consideration of the application. Deviation from the requirements must be unanimously approved by the Board of Directors.

All applications must include the following information pertaining to the intended recipient

     1. Organization Information

           a. Corporate Name, DBA, and Corporate Address

           b. Organization’s incorporated Purpose

           c. Primary contact person

                 i.   Name

                 ii.  Phone

                 iii. Email

                 iv. Full Address

          d. The organization’s IRS 501 (c)(3) exemption letter

          e. The filed IRS Form 990 or 990N Postcard for the immediate previous year

          f. List of officers, directors, trustees, and their annual compensation

          g. The Program Ratio (percent of annual revenues spent on program activity)

    2. A description of the purpose for which the requested funds will be used o

          a. Project or Event

          b. Number of people served by the project

          c. Goals to determine success

      3. The amount of funds being requested
