1929 50 foot Elco Flat Top Yacht “Liberte”

A Truly Traditional Yachtmen’s Yacht

   Built on the eve of the 1929 Stock Market Crash by the Electric Launch Company in Bayonne, New Jersey at the facility founded in 1900. This classic yacht is example of American Maritime Tradition with a hull of cedar planking over white oak frames. “Liberte” decks are constructed of Southern long-leaf tongue & grove pine. She accommodates seven people comfortably in 3 mahogany  staterooms. Her spacious thirteen and a half foot beam cruises effortlessly powered by twin John Deere diesel engines at 6 knots reminiscent of a bygone era.

  “Liberte” has been lovingly cared for by the Heckman family for over 60 years and is now owned by Ryan Eaton. Her magnificent  lines has always been respected and honored by expert craftsmen during all upgrades. This Includes the engine repowering and the addition of a Northern Lights generator in 2001. Classified as an antique by the Antique Classic Boat Society she  turns heads and is admired by all who see her gliding through the water.
